Ignite Speaks at upcoming Globalization Conference - LISA 2009

June 22-25th 2009

World market needs demand that software be easily localizable and adaptable to a new geographical and cultural regions. This need becomes especially crucial during global market slow-down since expansion to new markets is a proven strategy for dealing with slow or declining demand. Localization projects typically require a full-blown global delivery model, which inherently is challenging to manage. Software developers must consider a variety of ways to optimize design, architecture, development, project management, and testing processes in order to facilitate market requirements and remain adaptable to changing market conditions and business needs.

The 2009 LISA Forum Europe in Tallinn, Estonia features two days of technical workshops and two days of information-packed presentations on the convergence of globalization, localization services and outsourced applications development.

Aviram Eisenberg will demonstrate, using a case study, how a distributed agile development methodology, involving US-based marketing team, Israeli-based R&D team and project management, localizers and testers in Eastern Europe, and an East-Asian target market, how it is possible to leverage global sourcing to effectively localize a software product.
